Crowd Solve, Valley

Not camping, living.

"Just thinking off the top of my head.

"Seems to me that state-of-the-art tents financed by Silicon Valley foundations. Equip them with LED lighting and very low cost internet crowd sharing devices?"

"Yeah, mesh network to keep costs low while enhancing cooperation in the tent cities. Big pipe to the net. Low voltage wherever possible to avoid code."

Call it what?

"Schmidt continues to use the term 'identity' with good reason. Unfortunately, the term may still have a volatile working definition for the early-adopter audience we seek. Security, no doubt, is mission critical at this time. Considered as an island, however, is counterproductive."

"If the book becomes a best seller, perhaps that will change?"

"Having not read it yet, it would be hard for me to say."

A bit like sailing on the open sea in a time when the dominant belief was 'the earth is flat.' Something very good could happen but there is a risk of falling off the edge of the earth.

Do I Know U?

"Actually, the banter is an informal sign-on protocol."

"It serves the purpose of hiding the identification function under a context dependent high level dialog, more relevant to the person and her/his technology assisted connection than anyone overhearing the interaction.

"Something I dreamed in the wee hours of this morning seems prescient now. Decades in the making, the race to make 'person' the primary unit in global connection is now visible on many over-the-horizon radars, so-to-speak. Interacting with your presence on the cloud will likely become as natural as a conversation with your neighbor or co-worker."

"Will you download it?", she asked.

K Street Blues

"Beat or rap or anything before or in between, what's the difference? For this discussion, the music leg of the three-legged stool is covered, is it not?"

"Ok. How about the hope leg?"

She paused for effect then said, "That we can laugh about it."

"Which leads us to the one labeled humor ..."

"I rest my case." Quiet confidence with a hint of satisfaction, she quietly set the remote down on the podium. John the Conqueror would have been proud.

Reconcile

Paid our dues?
"What then, might the Nash Equilibrium be for these bookends of value? Plutocrats on one end. A people united as near equals on the other. What lies between? Can the self-decribed reliable sources tell you? Will they?

"Not to mimic a skipping record (or CD). 'Feels' as though a void should be filled.

"The back channel chatter has a suggestion. In the frequency domain, it feels rhythmic and harmonious ... And its sounds good."

On hearing this conversation, a scratchy recording from decades ago was aired in a certain imaginary space. "When the legendary songwriter said something to the effect that the sound moved him, I thought about a sound he created. The way it impressed me when I heard it for the first time. The music made the chaos of my perceived reality ... sensible. As if it were for the first time."

Practical Enlightenment

"Tax advantaged non-monetary high value green? That is a mouthful. Fits the practical enlightenment profile though."

"In a simple equation we can express the basic goal.

p * H$ = P * iS

Where:
p - small highly privileged population
P - almost everybody else
H$ - very large ownership expressed in most trusted fiat currency.
iS - intrinsic value of person.

"Oh, and plot this as a function of time -- history on the left and pro-forma on the right.

"There may be a better way to express it mathematically but one can see that 'iS' is the critical variable to achieving an equitable balance.

"Perhaps the addition of a disparity factor to the right side?"

Middle Path Equilibrium

"Not that Nash. This one is about game theory."

"An equilibrium apropos conflict resolution, I am guessing."

"You could say that. Yes."

"If the two teams are in a fair game (as defined), this can be a very useful tool for those dependent on the outcome. It has been referred to as 'leveling the playing field.'"

Money Politics

represent.us?
"We could start by just getting stolen money out of our political system."

"Wait a minute. That is most of it. Who would vote for that? Think of the unemployment. Too many jobs in this country are dependent on stealing in one form or another and making sure it is spent on efficiently maintaining the resulting cash flow (ie: through owned media, bribes etc.)

Sarcasm is violently opposed by some. Why exactly is this so? Is there a common theme to the back stories?

Perhaps well-advised to look further.

Flirting With Violence

"What do you mean by that?"

"Think about it. When perpetrated by 'accepted' (code for well capitalized) institutions, the perception of language can be easily manipulated.

"Coercion becomes something less threatening according to the OWNED media.

"Unlimited 'liberty' of plutocrats is not a constitutional value of this country anymore than the opposite extreme."

[When we continue, more about how to measure factors affecting the perception quality in this debate. First a word from our sponsor.]

Yes, closer.

"Device knowing its user is a lot more than just the obligatory security. We have been saying it for decades. Abraham Maslow's insight seems prescient in retrospect.

"Many have talked about the benefits to organizations (governments, organizations etc.) but persons, a lot of them, as a group AND EXCLUSIVELY is the unexplored opportunity. Things are changing rapidly."

"There is not a week that goes by without something in the news that hints at what beyond authenticating point-of-sale transactions is possible."

The latest propaganda campaigns reflect their sponsor's paranoia about this accelerating trend: Person's in control of what is rightfully their own (not just money and other possessions, Prudence)."
