Some know the drill, as the post grows thanks to yours truly, I hope the reader will better understand my view of the topic.
I have personally known someone that has vigorously pursued the subject over much of his career. Further, the Buddhist and common sense teachings of Tensin Gyato fall right in line with this type of thinking. Mindfullness is a practice that engages the subtle intellect to make the world better.
"Two poles" that describe our experience "out there". Null and unity. Neither exist as experiential space-time but are useful because they summarize conceptually universal boundaries. This is the potential power of mind.
That there are so many of these entities in our little corner of the universe is a "very big deal" for Us now AND ƒ(Us)™.
