There was a time when discrimination was the law. Most now consider that to have been wrong. How was it that it changed? Civil disobedience played a big roll in correcting the injustice.
Those who benefited before the change were likely to have resisted such. Often they discover that after the change their life became better even though they did not want it to occur.
History is replete with instances of tectonic social change related to civil disobedience in the pursuit of justice.
"That is not worthy of civil disobedience."
"Are you sure?"
"The boss told me so."
"But it is not your boss's choice."
Supporting the 1% is not the same as being a part of it. $340 million/year salary is the threshold. The idea that your deposits are the bank's money is just not true. If bank management risked the depositor's money for their benefit, they should be replaced ASAP.
