"I don't know what you are talking about."
How often is this an accurate statement as a part of a heated conversation? In the context of such a dialog between doctor and patient who has the upper hand? Does one or the other party having such a position accomplish better outcomes?
In the case of patient confronting intimately her or his own life or death, one could argue the patient alone is under-represented in the US Health Care System. Workable patient advocacy may be the answer.
