Unexpected

"The reaction is not really confusion as I had originally thought might be the case. It seems instead to be anger. The kind that rejects a concept in its entirety without any explanation or elaboration.

"Having said this, I am of a mind that we could benefit by knowing more about why such a response occurred.

"My impression is that one of the main advantages of the US system is the flexibility in designing organizations that best serve a set of goals. This is attractive to a health consumer centric entity that, by charter, is insulated from the economic and moral hazards that plague classic corporations (for example)."
