How Did 'They' Know?

"The Social Network makes clear what I am talking about now with prompt text in the update status field as does Siri when 'she' sounds like she knows you when she asks for clarification. To some degree of course, she does and the prompt is likely not created  'in a vacuum'. The published phone book of old had a similar flavor.

"Old-boy manipulators want you to believe that what some call friendly technology is a catastrophic invasion of your privacy."
