When one's openness is based on confidence in the human design (need for 'designer' is a discussion for another day), it is much easier to ping the grand system for navigation data. Understanding controlling motives, while tricky, provides the quality guidance that makes the effort worthwhile. Expectations tend to be less chaotic.
