Actually, surprise is a big part of what makes the path humorous. The signs that tell you to reject your own sense of what is right and what is wrong are a clue. As are those that claim to speak for what is correct. Afflictive emotion is a sure sign of compass malfunction. Maps are of little use if you know not which direction you are heading. Compassionate people of good will working together is a solution.
