What is different? What changed? Camouflage is intended to hide something not to be noticed.
I heard the term, compartmentalize. If it happens below the level consciousness in one's own mind, that person can be 'blind' to the consequential things that differ.
Loners are less able to see internal barriers of this type? It seems so, in my experience. Yet to think of something original, it may be better to get ahead of prudence...
Technologly was the key? Barriers of the internal kind too. Keep the gas pedal down even though the risk was great? On the outside, I could not have known what I needed to. Drama unfolded like a slinky, 11 years before the turn of the century.
