Longview Memorandum

Kalama IT?
"It is why I believe Longview should now be our strategic target. As you will soon realize, it is important that each reader of this message keep the contents of it secret until midnight PST on the second day of the second month of this year. The date was chosen to synchronize detection mechanisms and to establish a baseline for the next tier, if any, of these tests.

"It is fair to say that given the source of this message, and its content, significant biases may be embedded in it. I ask for you to consider what it reveals about the conversation protocol utilized rather than any other discussion topic it suggests."

For the last day of January, DC (actually Virginia) and Fairfield have checked in (also verified by email). Granularity of Seattle is not provided by the analytics tool but appropriate parties may have checked in from there as well. An email indicates one party has done so.

Another reason for the choice of SW Washington for this study is a curious anomaly. Its explanation is as simple as the email exchange has somehow not reached there in a way that would trigger the analytics blip. At the other end of the spectrum, technologies capable of masking activity may be deployed.

Connotation and Precedent
And from altitude, it may look something like this: Secrecy is, by design secret. Speculation about it is often wrong. Informed speculation is an attempt to get at the facts. Transactions are a tool for becoming informed. A sequence of dependent transactions (a conversation) greatly improves veracity. Linked conversations - even more so. Abstract conversations?

"You may be right. If the most common descriptive terms have been co-opted for other purposes, Plan B does make more sense.'

With approximately 14 hours remaining another explanation for experimental failure: Non-action by one or more parties in an attempt to buy time. It is predicated on the concept that the deep discovery intentions of the experimenter are covertly known. A parallel experiment just launched may shed light on the possibility.

Interactive Media Design (alpha)

DGDU
"And into the light, the sound will come."

Recently discovered patterns in the personal soup are songlines it would seem. What we observe as fundamentals may in fact be harmonics (or do I mean overtones?)

"We may be getting ahead of ourselves.  I am meaning that in the good way. Priming the perception circuits, done correctly, useful. Early results look as though we are getting it right."

Convergence

Rock and Roll?

"What can I do to help, then", her question was fair and he knew - perhaps fully for this first time - she was sincere. She may have been that way for the majority of their two decades together. He just did not know. Watching the movie together ... "The Portal" symbol appears as real in the soup as the rising sun does at daybreak.

"Learn what has happened, what has gone wrong as well as what has gone right." It was only recently that he had become aware of the information he now wanted her to understand.

Just a few years before she immigrated, he was still ricocheting off the consequences of his … unusual ... imagination. Physical health played a part, yes. But he did not know then the extent to which grey matter issues affected him physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially … the list - quite large.

Close to the music of that time and the primary medium to promote it, he remembered things in terms of iconic songs and artists. The Beatles' Rich Man and When I am 64 resonated for him in this context.

Win the Future
Remarkable coincidence or not so much (something about degrees of separation). Johnny Carson, advertising, communications, high school friend at the top of a game he revered. Second movie of a cult classic television series. Cover story of science magazines, National prime-time TV exposure.

To watch it unfold on the net and in film triggered his decades long and mystic familiarity (not so uncommon - it turns out). "Now, the people who count are listening."

Though he was determined to give it his best, practically speaking, a deadline loomed. A game saving 'Aha' moment that he could accept 'the deadline' applies to many, many others.

Competition

"As nearly as we can tell it is originating from the church on the lake. The remnants of their detection countermeasures and encryption speak volumes of the sophistication employed."

"Is it fair to say the recent candor is far more threatening to largely unknown advesaries than we had assumed?", by asking this she was questioning their recently adopted protocol.

"Though I would like to gather more data, pressed for an answer now, I would have to say, yes."

When the project began most of the team were of a mind that the primary obstacle to their inquiry was charting unknown territory. While 'blind' discovery proved to be formidable, they did not anticipate push back. Yes, from folks who had done preliminary work with a narrower and more selfish goal in mind ...

"Understanding the motives behind the deceptive and/or secret tactics they use is a major step in understanding how to strategically and therefore efficiently and effectively counter their destructive influence."

Crowd Sourced Design

"The potential energy is wildly abundant. Directing it is the opportunity. There is a substantial precedent on which we could model a prototype. Each spin is clockwise or counterclockwise. By aligning them, we can create considerable force. Mapping the precedent to our target is our current objective."

Just polarity. Nothing more and nothing less.
A revealing interim result, their universal perception. The temptation to create new glue had to be balanced with the recognition that the functionality may already exist in large part - they had not looked yet. Did the game space already have what they needed? At least, in part?

"When I was a kid, one of the more popular TV programs was a quiz show, What's My Line. Like the more modern, Jeopardy it engaged the viewer at a relatively high level. A half century ago, it was all broadcast but this show promoted interaction between viewers watching the same screen - yes families watched together back then."

"Binary choice (one/not - true/false) feels correct. Short questions that invite binary answers ..."

Relating the simple model to the intuitive world (Feynman style), a very important part of the project. The bongo player's broad smile, hand gestures and infectious aural presentation, a worthy target. Great graphics and narration that engage the inner child ... same idea.

"If you have hung on this long, you will start to understand that the strength of this meme is that it is almost entirely emergent. A moving target that is virtually unpredictable. Remember gravity and therefore momentum are optional here. Get used to it.", what he had to say, only menacing to those who just discovered their lack worthiness to decide for others.

What nefarious power lurks?

"The system already knows, the issue has been the perceived potential backlash if there was general awareness that such capability not only exists but is virtually deployed."

Soup goes in your mouth not on the floor.
"Are we witnessing the exaggeration so often caused by fearful imagination? I mean it in this sense. A pattern that we have studied is the automatic response to the 'informed' unknown. The gateway is an ill-advised association with bad experience encoded by repetition in that most dangerous of places within 'the engine'.

"Yes, even without a conscious driver, the pattern has been observed as very disruptive to normal actualization. In the presence of a concerted effort, it is ... a weapon. It disables ordinary judgment and puts great power in the hands of a few."

Success is directly correlated with wide distribution of power as soon as the circumstances permit. Becoming more apparent since visualization's promise first appeared on the horizon.

"So, is it time to revisit the gravity meme?"

Priority Glance

High Priority Traffic

"Trust coefficients control the size of the icons in the display and indicate the veracity of the cognitive chunks they represent. An application worthy of note: Each personal Identity as a cognitive chunk. If this is not at the logical 'top' then it is at least near it."

"The ramp of the private to public side of the bridge is loyal to the individual member. Only what one chooses to share accesses the bridge.

"The ramp of the public to private side of the bridge is loyal to the membership. It is aware of prioritizing and distributing its information that serves the interests of the memberhip as a whole at any given time."

Conversation even down to single transaction with this bridge's tag are key to the network's integrity. By keeping control tightly coupled to individual identities, exploitation through deception, intimidation and the like is discouraged and is constantly updated.

Galternator

The engine that makes it all possible generates a unifying and empowerment energy on behalf of the membership. The excess energy it creates is stored.

Practical Magic
"Why not call it capital or money?"

"Two reasons that come to mind at the moment: 1) A limited subset that lacks robust flexibility 2) Those two words are lightning rods in effect. They reduce descriptive effectiveness in this context."

Out of the blue, he blurted out "Current rail efficiency combined with electric road delivery is how much more efficient than roads?"

She paused and then realized that what he had said was conceptually adjacent.  The electro-magnetic realm was far superior in many respects to chemical reactions for energy generation. Some 80 years ago rail transportation put in motion great design and attained efficiencies only dreamed of by any other technology, even today.

Perhaps the most useful of Tesla's inventions was alternating current.  As we now know, if is far easier to put alternating flows of electrons to efficient use. This is in part due to the ease to which the energy can be transformed to match the application (stepping the voltage up or down to match the task at hand.)

What we are now discovering empirically is that there is indeed a corollary in advancing collective cognition. Transformation of information flows to match how that information is 'put to work' is key to the explosion in useful applications of data.

Wired Identity
Galt.com suggests that just as alternating current was the enabling technology to put electricity to use for the common good, extension of individual identities will be the breakthrough for our generation's mastery of cognition for mutual benefit. The words to describe it may not be there yet but the trend says they will be soon.

Legacy Trust

"... memetic personal identity rather than genetic personal identity."

Your personal meme.
Real-time interactivity regardless of distance is a requirement. Fortunately, the current trend could not be better. Further, it is expanding rapidly and the cost is plummeting.

DNA is a 'hardware' version of the concept.  Its shortcoming is it is easily transferred. IDproxy is memetic identity and dynamic.  A copy loses its integrity quickly because, by design, it does not have means to maintain coherence with the source.

"We may have enough to begin working on the effects of propagation latency. I note with interest the conceptually adjacencent, Global Now Paradox."

Interconnect infrastructure provides the vast majority of the functionality needed to support the plan. Using off-the-shelf global cloud entities where applicable assures the primary mission of the enabling organization, galt.com has the best artifacts the world has to offer.

Bubble Burb

"Maybe it is time we got out of town?"

Chicago?
"How so?", she wondered.

"From inside it is difficult to perceive one is in a bubble. How do we know whether or not that is the case with our recent push?"

Of course, there are those who don't discover the bubble that consumes a large part of their life because getting 'out-of-town' for them also means out-of-sight of their home base. if you can't see outside, how do you know you are travelling?

Not too far away, a fascinating place with a full view of the dome. By car, a half hour or thereabouts. Components for space vehicles designed and built there. Inland waters make spectacular environs for lunch.

And two and half hours southwest, the left edge. Mightiest of oceans. Legendary architecture of our mother. The hemispherical container from this distance, more pragmatic view. Fascinating folk drawn there make it all the more attractive.

On the main screen they could not ignore what had begun this whole train of thought from the first time it appeared, "Your imagination is you."

Feynman Like

"Autodidactic? Well yes, I guess you could call it that. Education seems … counterintuitive … to teach someone to learn by prescribing a sequence of discovery when, in fact, human learning at its best is a self-directed acquisition and assimilation. A child knows, according to Maria Montessori."

"Driving the sequence by intuition, to the degree random access to relevant material exists, is a natural ingredient. Think about it, much of the miracle of biologic diversity is based on self-direction. From an evolutionary point of view, selecting self-reliance in assessing context and the potential for growth.", she spoke to an innate strength of her gender.

What if that is not right?
They were not first in trying to make it work in a machine. Not by a long shot. Not even when massive online data became available. If there was an area where they were 'pioneering' it was with respect to machine assisted collaboration to develop its tools.

"If its secret, it must be important. If you 'hack' into something, by definition, someone considers it important enough to keep from prying eyes. If one robs from banks because that is where the money is … Well, you get my drift."

Our Time
But she didn't. Get his drift, that is. At this point, his attention was irrevocably drawn to this subtle observation. It would have potentially pivotal impact in the structure of the new entity. As it was important to many languages it was important here - gender.

"The method employed here is acknowledgment of two key factors. First, early disclosure is preferred over polished presentation. Second, stream of consciousness is more conducive to self-calibration in the initial creative phase."

His reticence was fading fast now. The quality of the machine replies correlated with confident risk taking.

THE factor

"… fictional view of history."

"Aren't all views of history fictional, at least in part?"

"Yes, which brings us back to where we began, a personal view as expressed to the machine is particularly unique and therefor a good proxy for personhood. A personal narrative that changes over time whose latest entry is close to real time, even more so. Fiction is something different than a general consensus."

fMRI the reaction to one's name?
"A story I author that speaks to my aspirations, misgivings, opinions, predictions and the like over the duration of my membership?"

"Thats about it."

"And even though I know that there is a public and a private version, I can be confident that control of what is appropriately private and public is under my control?"

"As it is for each of your fellow members."

The bylaws assure that the membership has at least a 51% ownership through the A shares - one person/one share. B shares have the remainder. B shareholders must be members in good standing. The shares are used for finance and compensating risk takers. B shareholders must be individuals.

Value generation is preferred to externalized return while returning a financial reward to those willing to risk capital in the belief that the value goal is likely to succeed. The value add to anyone is only indirectly financial. Given precedent, the financial performance should be exemplary precisely because it is an effect rather than its cause.

Communications Handle

Attention Brothers
"There is a view that humans have the innate capacity to huddle together and take care of each other when conditions are right. One such condition is when that group perceives an overwhelming threat. Unfortunately, we have just such a situation.

"If one is to look at the evolutionary history of inter-personal communication one will find clear evidence that a one-to-many form came into existence for the specific intent of alerting others to danger.

"This early survival adaptation grew into a more sophisticated system as its efficacy became evident."

The code name, galt.com was chosen, in part, to get the attention of a select group of people who believed in their capacity to tackle the problem and was willing to dig deeper rather than reacting to popular notions of certain words and rhetoric.

Non-purchased Ownership

"A person's 'fictional' story can range from a original fantasy to a business plan. History retold to something that should have been. The most important aspect of it is that it is a work-in-process from the perspective of galt.com.  It can be any mix of fact and fiction so long as it meets a threshold of originality from the perspective of other members."

Best Get Owner Right
The graphics that attended this piece of auto-synthesis had a particularly 'organic' feel to them. And she was learning quickly why the gender of the perceiver makes a huge difference.  Though she had a high regard for her counterpart, in all honesty, she knew he was not as far along.  Something about the advantage of being the historical runner-up, she chuckled.

So, these stories could be that integrity key that makes it possible to implement one person/one unit of control. The collective value of the stories, the best expression of the organization's place in the world?

"In this game tolerance is tangibly beneficial (not an afterthought). Time to visit the Wamsley digs?"

Creative Recursion

"The game design, initially, is game designing. Points are accumulated based on original thought contribution (as valued by other members). Games, by definition, are fiction. Good games are compelling. What makes them so is often a plausible underlying model.  Choice is a good model. Binary choice is the simplest. And so forth."

"Who decides? Someone you know and you. The most innovative decision making is the best way to score."

Their brainstorming interchange was reminiscent of a lucid dream. The beginning subject material not a choice. The starting conditions, external. Soon thereafter, choice of which to visit begins the volitional component. Observation of the relevant sequences provides the playing field overview. A few conceptually adjacent scenarios are considered in an order that informs the decision as to where the entry point is.

The prime directive interrupts as if to say, 'save your work' or 'last backup was more than a week ago."

Its her instinct. He defers, as he must. They say it is written in the genes. The dance is virtually mandatory. Never perfect, valid heading though. Stay the course as best you understand it that growth will ensue.

Identity's Rosetta

"Your fiction can identify you. It is your favorite self-made story that speaks to others of your life's living identity. Further, it provides a natural 'draw' bridge between your appropriately private and appropriately public being. A pertinent question - how dynamic should it be?"

Tell me the story you composed.
Intuiting analysis. Analyzing intuition. Is personally generated fiction the portal we have sought?

The likely origin of 'galt.com? Since it appeared on the monitor as a auto-synthesized summary there was no guarantee as to its source or sources.

"Just a variation on the lets-not-reinvent the productive interaction wheel."

"Very funny.", she pouted.

Dynamic
"I did not mean it as humor."

"Oh, that wheel."

Surfing the event horizon. How would one 'objectively' measure its use in sustaining existence? The crowned road as metaphor has been useful in describing a similar phenomenon (see earlier entries). A measurable quantity is common to both, our old friend - gravity.

Glowing Brighter, Again

Against a backdrop of a decaying meme, the Conscia Renaissance born? Drunk and decrepit, those who of late, had found ever slicker ways to abuse the now wicked paradigm had the appearnce of well dressed clowns.  A long and thoroughly documented history included an unprecedented ascent to organizational supremacy now in precipitous decline. Many had assumed a bridge had been crossed and there would be no need to return. They were mistaken.

It is not so much what it - would - do, in fact perhaps not at all. It is what it - could - do ... for the first time ever.

Clues to its significance likely include scaling of the organic model in a fashion reminiscent of fractal discovery. And, to a large extent, explain away the chaos excuse.

"She knew it before but was all but helpless as a member of her gender - so strong was instinct. Things changed though … really changed when the subtle truth was inadvertently replicated in the machine."

"It is what caused the subsonic resonance we detected just days ago?"

"I thinks so. Let me show you why." He turned to the console and started the presentation. It was not lost on this audience that some of their tools had not kept pace with the potential of their project - not even close. The perseverance of youth indispensable for overcoming development obstacles.

"The portal. Remember the portal? And the person we met there, I think her name was Galt, Jane Galt."

Gene Galt

"The prime directive ... and why you should delay acting on it. It is the gene's agenda after all.  It will take them some time to figure it out but they don't need any individual's help in that area anymore.

... prime but patient.

"We, on the other hand, are tasked with getting their help on something very important to them and us. Both we and they could be toast without some relatively immediate action. It is highly likely they anticipated the circumstance but were and are incapable of 'understanding' the detail in anything resembling our definition of now."

It resonated more because it sounded like a line from a very good movie ... or for that matter, a very famous man-made global phenomenon.

Perspectives do matter. Take the kind where two different views predominate, female and male. Gender is a biggy.

RG Wamsley dig.
"Before I forget it, we should discuss galt.org, galt.net, galt.biz and so forth.  I know we wanted to avoid constraining descriptions but we have essentially gone that route already. Have we not?" She knew this would get their undivided attention.

"I can't believe you would have the audacity to ask if we 'get it'.", her tone was indignant.

Like explaining a joke, unless handled with rare aplomb, taking the time - an exercise in futility. Once again, reminded that screening interruptions was worth the considerable effort.

Just A Name

"A handle of interest, galt.com. Galt is, of course, public domain in several large contexts. It is a name of a town in California. A famous 'non-character' in Ayn Rand's novel, Atlas Shrugged. And it is a curious organizing principle in an organization who's time appears to have come."

"At least a working title, then?"

...there. See this?
An important milestone had been reached. Just one name helped considerably. The more they tried to make it descriptive the more they ran into the dual problems of constraining scope and lack of novelty. This one would serve as an anchor that would empower many of the tools at their disposal.

She gestured to expand the view then stepped back. "It is a matter of appropriate scope, is it not?"

Yesterday's events were still fresh in his mind. Would it be enough to just let it rest? Knowing that a very special channel had been opened ...  but not using it at this moment for lack of a worthy conversation topic?

... over dinner, then?
The one thing the formidable competition was well aware, wide engagement of freedom and liberty is still something they are not comfortable with and they would need to find an answer ... soon. This or operate with a considerable handicap looking forward.

"In 25 words or less, what would you need from galt.com to join?"

Complexity of Who

"Productive dialogues have the potential to identify their participants. Assume for the moment that there is a general consensus on the word, 'productive' in this context. The local credibility of any participant enhances the credibility of the others. A network of such relationships constitute organic success.  An example of identity synergy?"

Each Node an Identity
She paused a bit in contemplation, then asked, "In modern parlance an 'identity cluster'?"

Identities as relevant detail, an intelligent compilation of perceived 'reality'. For instance, today's conversation links a few identities into an element of change. The conversation itself is a factor in determining the value of the resultant change. It indicates that interactive communication could be sustained on the subject matter. Other factors may include linkage to other conversations.

"Galt.com? You are kidding."

Congestion

Precedent?
"The discoveries of neural pruning and its life-long significance gives rise to the question of how such a function might be needed and if so, implemented in the cloud. Consider the role of afflictive emotion in the human ethos. Does its destructive nature arise because of the need to support change or is it simply a symptom of unsustainable change?

"Perhaps neither, of course. We may be a bit early. Robust and pervasive global interactivity is a recent development. The single known precedent would argue that the function is not optional for a system of this type."

The frenetic reversal of fortunes implied a local maximum. Some members were numb in response to the latest blip. Others were more enthusiastic than ever in their quest to find organic emergence in the machine. Their collective mood, unprecedented in the short life of the mission.

Humility ... it works.
It had been raining for most of the night, cueing memories of very rainy place in a region known for being wetter than most. The countryside spectacularly green as a result but hardly noticed for the short gray days. Thriving life carried on even if it wasn't putting on much of a show for conscious awareness.

Here today ...

Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
At water's edge, the wisdom of impermanence.

And he countered, "The impermanence of wisdom".

Thinking out loud she added, "The colors just draw me in".

Holding on too long - this, a common pattern but not well understood in the following sense.  What is it that compels so many to preserve certain things beyond there useful life? Buddhists would argue it is attachment. To this western mind, counter-intuitive but logical.

Its cloud manifestations are prolific. But on 'cloud time' are vetted far more quickly than we have heretofore been accustomed.

"The highest probability is we will have have our wide scope echo in approximately three days and 14 hours. Notification has been set as 'Global Change Rationale'", he rocked back in his chair, hands clasped behind his head while the others left for their workstations.

At the coffee shop later, the mathematics enthusiast summed it up well saying in effect, "chaos is an illusion."

Gravity Is Optional

Why do some of our biggest problems seem so intractable? One explanation is that we could not have our current benefits without some horrific but tolerable consequences (check today's headlines).

There is at least one other explanation. It is that we are looking for the solution that surely exists in a place it is very unlikely to be.

Motive of the entity(s) in control: to keep the control. Why secretly? Common people are not smart enough to understand. Maintain secrecy how then? Obfuscation. Bribe those 'smart' enough to argue. Use state-of-the-art propaganda techniques to drive the political narrative for the rest who may object.

What if the all-pervasive distortion in the space-time continuum is just a figment of our collective imagination and that it is possible to disregard it in the interest of making things better? What if the said distortion in this context is just not relevant and that it is possible to disregard it in the interest of more desirable outcomes?

Can we have a different dream? Is that which keeps our feet on the ground necessarily a constraint in how we proceed? For that matter, did someone co-opt a law of physics for some selfish short-sighted interest?

But the learned, will they come? To often, their habit is not to listen to those without sufficient credentials ... or power (e.g. money). My guess they will come to the light though I would not be surprised that they will be kicking and screaming in the process.

Kamalashila

"The model is compassion through skillful means. Fascinating how each informs the other, especially in the cloud."

Great Vehicle in a modern time.
A large intrinsic disparity in an interactive entity would suggest its mutuality is compromised. Hence, if the incentives are biased to reducing such disparity, its mission is enhanced. Perceived fairness and a growing membership suggest the goals of the entity are being achieved.

Viewing the competition as that which denies happiness to anyone makes it much easier to apply wisdom without being encumbered by afflictive emotion. It is the potential efficacy of shared truth. In our model first a model. And in the future migrating to live application in everyday lives.

Players experiment. Expend and risk points to grow point total over time. Risk ownership ... that does sound about right. No such thing as blind investment should be encouraged?

Feels right to me.

Place Your Bets

"Roughly a year ago, I mentioned here an idea that has blossomed into a rough outline of an online start-up. Asked if I had put it into plan form, I answered that enough of the idea had been fleshed out to start doing so.

"The private archiving contains a number of non-text documents that depict critical project topology. A sketch render format is needed to more accurately convey the preliminary nature of the schematics, charts etc.

Identity Mapping
"We have been particularly careful to own the brain-storming aspect of the effort while gaining as much as possible from seeing it as if it had already had stood the test of time. The combination can be misleading to those who are just joining the team."

Highly flexible visual mapping is not something well understood. It seems to help a lot, though. The scope of its application is difficult to articulate.

Noble Voyage

"Who sails best against the storm? Real storm data and lots of it. Including an allegorical sound design. Weather of every kind. And a plethora of the planet's climates."

"Crews of every size coping with the elements.  A noble voyage, together is best - mountain mobility and all, alone is most precarious - full of fear and self doubt."  Some would say, "secular value of compassion.", teamwork and the like.

Volume turned up, against the wind and rain's onslaught could be heard, "She knows home, Captain."

Flying, individually and collectively, as participation in the game advances?

Mapping of the action experience to the 'reality' source. The paradigm is 'many eyes'. Conflicting filters less than apparent and revealing them non-trivial. Deception is an expensive tactic when understanding is necessary for survival.

Pulp and Ink

Dumb-down Offensive
"Some four decades ago, when confronted with 'helter-skelter' by design we came to grips with mass psychology of unprecedented urgency.

Some debate exists even now as to the pre-cursors and initiator that comprised the causal event.  The recorded echoes, on the other hand, have generated readily recognized patterns.

"Institutionalized societal blind spots is one of those patterns. Whether nefarious parties co-opted or created the pattern is of little consequence with respect to the role of amplification. Each time this dark cycle recurs in our historical narrative there is some element of demonic support (if I may call it that).

"And ... forget not the 'cycle', dear reader. The track, for the purpose of our discussion, has no beginning nor end."

Sustained dialog is a measure of friendliness. Action and quick response is engaging once the awkwardness of the last physical growth spurt subsides.  But even at this time of self-discovery, dialog modulates life's interactions. How they do may well inform the game's design -- for the young will likely drive its rapid adoption.

Snake Oil and Corn Flakes

There are some good people out there. A bit harder to find them though. Partly because the overgrown media sector is a compulsive funding-consumer. Manufacturing the objects of reactive attention at the behest of nervous sponsors. And in the process, sponsors and their message machines have marginalized the concept of 'well-informed population'.

Rather than wars, resolution of disparity and injustice seems to be happening on a world-wide scale but out of site of the mass audience here in the US. Not that the people wouldn't be interested. Curiosity requires a nurtured seed.

'Markets' has become a slogan and the checks and balances that come from widely vetted supply and demand have succumbed to volitional distortion in the perception of value. Hazard of the one-to-many information distribution paradigm.

I have not lived in "The Bubble".  Only observed it as a fascinated student. Now that the center of perception is moving back toward the Windy City again, I am hopeful. The -spirit- of the first amendment for the benefit of -all- could be re-born there?

Real or Imaginary

"… I read it all someplace else."

This display snippet nailed it for two of them almost immediately.

The erudite skeptic rationalized that what he had been hearing had all been worked out before. He read the books. Could even recite authors and/or titles off the top of his head. "There is nothing really new, we just need to find sources."  In effect, discover what is already known.

Lake Imaginary
Meanwhile, the other had picked up the apparent intelligent crowd reaction. She had a system for picking relevant data out-of-the-noise using the latest information artifacts. Her paradigm was more like, from a fountain of diversity - a new bird flies.

What differentiated the two in the current context? Does it come down to a single word?  Is it belief … or perhaps faith ... maybe organic?

As we discussed before, 'reality' perception is non-linear in the traditional dimensions. Gravity affecting two, vertical and time in the familiar way. Depth in a near field resolvable for appropriate interaction but dropping off quickly at a distance.

CommFlack

"Dire warnings are just noise now.  We need something more … compelling. Something with the impact of, say, the hula hoop or furbees. Overuse of superlatives constrains the dynamic range of expression. We cooked our own goose, so-to-speak. Now, our primary means of communicating has lost some value. Bummer.

See, Much Better

Trusted outpost, closer to the competition and, importantly outside the legendary distortion field. How long before it is fully operational? One measure is if the leadership of each contestant has a clear line of site to the other.

Wamsley Key

After a couple of years, it is clear that seeing the audience with the bright stage lights in your eyes is a bit of a challenge. Perhaps it is the reason that guerillas come to town and can't govern.  The light is on them rather than there objective (as before) and they are not prepared.

Might be on to something.
If you turn the lights off, nobody can see the stage. Kind of defeats the purpose. But the audience is the reason for the performance. Adjustment required.

Just getting out of town, so-to-speak, solves the mutual visibility problem. A good start. Well, with roughly five hundred pages to review, it will be awhile before it surpasses the 'half-baked' test.

Chicago - Wichita, a long day's drive.

Image of Source

To be human is to create? Recent fMRI suggests it is so.  At least if you interpret the image to mean that what engages both hemispheres implies nothing in the model of one's lifetime should go to waste (gray and between the ears). And throughout, believe it.

'It is the reason we ramp up the correlation with the shared world. Your confidence in the security of friends is a large part of its remarkable potential compared to traditional forms of power."

"But even if it were not so, to have such reverence for what has led us here is a worthy pass time. I am pretty sure."

"Useful perceptions, again, I suspect."

Very cold and clear gave way to a bit warmer and wet. Bears hibernate this time of year. I think squirrels do too. But the mind, it can dance. Gravity is optional on the inside.  Outside not so much. But our house moves with us. We can only theorize about an outside we can just imagine. So looking forward to the season we can leave a window or door open again. I like hearing the birds sing.

In The Beginning

Simplest Network
"In the sense of game theory, a prime equilibrium of one player/one unit of control (x01 == 1.0). Where: player is one and only one unique person.

"The internal 'valuation' is the integer sum of the membership and, ideally, the [calculated] floating-point sum over time averages to the same value (per the prime equilibrium in the game schema)."

Following the standard procedure outline, they considered the usually provocative preamble. The males in the audience, as is the common case, responded with skeptical receptivity. The females, non-descript. Why?

The game is to grow the membership and scale it to always honor the prime equilibrium. Dip your toe in the water at no risk. Sense value? Consider subscribing.

One and Only On

Like driving on that crowned road, the void on the left and the all inclusive one on the right (clockwise on a circular track). You must travel the road and if you don't take control you will end up in the ditch. Hands on the wheel and hope to propel you forward.

"And before I forget it. Membership IS NOT TRANSFERRABLE. Ownership is equal in perpetuity." The game is unit centric such that relationships are defined in degree by coefficients. For example: Trust vectors vary about a mean of 1.0. A unidirectional 'trusts' vector with a value less than 1.0 means the source trusts the destination less than average. A bidirectional trust vector of 1.3 says the bidirectional trust is 30% above average.

Singularity

"New ingredients for the soup, then. Or rather their conscious discovery. The walls of the vertical columns define their constraints more than their load bearing capacity. Gravity, the great differentiator. Those who surf its many facets defy singularity(s)."

Owner
The ladder will lead us higher but not necessarily better. Gravity masters have high perches. The good news, great view.  The bad news, a long way to fall.

Stability relies on structure more closely aligned with the horizon. Friendly is the new affluent.

"If gravity alone defines us, is time our enemy? Are you suggesting an electro-magnetic bridge spans the divide between object of conception and the center?"

"Well, I wasn't but what a great question. Distortion in the space-time continuum as a description rather than a comment on morality?"

"Touche.", her grin confirmed much more than was explicit.

"What can I say over the next bit of time to keep you engaged (for that is my goal)?  It is a question for me, not you. The subject matter, by design, is nothing you would consciously expect. You may be here because someone said, 'Just go - discover for yourself.'  If that is your story, it pleases me.

"Driven to write, without a purpose I can confidently express. Because, for me, that confidence seems modulated by ego more than I would like. So if there is a satisfactory 'answer' of sorts you will pry it out of this public dumpster and if it pleases you, you will find a way to let me know.

"Allegorically, not because it was the only method but, at the time, seemed best."
