9 Lives of Radio

The are other characters in the RFM story besides, Sandy - one of first 'jocks' (DJ, not athlete). I just got off the phone with another, Bill Wolfenbarger.

Like yours truly, he worked at a legal station while in high school (yes, I worked at one too). Both stations were in small towns in Washington state. As Bill use to say of our adult supervision,"Nobody likes popular music". So we played it the evening - adults didn't listen to the radio at night.

Radio was fun for the people that embraced the new music - rock and roll. The great war was over (version 2.0) and people made babies (lots of them), us. Making love, not war before there was birth control - baby boom. Birds and the bees. Need I say more?
