Hidden Intrinsic Value

"What I am talking about could be described in yet another way.

"We as humans, due to the abstraction machine nature of our minds, tend to take for granted our most useful concepts if they have not yet been realized in our artifacts.

The consequence of gravity is an example. We have become so accustomed to its effects that we are able to deal with it without much thought to the 'mechanism' that causes it.

"Such also is the case with identity. Its sheer complexity made it difficult in the past to separate the causes of its deeper meaning because it had yet to manifest fully in things we created.

"Things have changed. Managing complexity is no longer the exclusive domain of deep biological cognition ..."
