Introductions

"What we will address in today's session is the fiercely competitive nature of the US 'Health Care' market. That competition, in my view, has done an unsustainable disservice to most patients as individuals. I suggest, that can change.

"Yet, I would be the first to acknowledge that some truly remarkable advances in the detection and treatment of disease have occurred on our own soil in recent years. But the cost, on so many levels, has been far greater than it need be going forward. Let me tell you my theory of how the laudable, but insufficient, effort came about and suggestions to productively change its direction."
