Older Ears

The sound is captivating. A recent upgrade in the chain, studio monitors. Same content, same source (smart laptop) same audience of one :-) Yet the personal experience is reminiscent of watching the first landing on the moon - live.

"It sounds like all levels and all frequencies (of the ones I am able to still hear) are rendered accurately.

"But know that midway through my sixth decade, redundant neural pathways make up, at least partially, for the expected deterioration in the biologic sensors.

"Another expression of reverence manifesting in the soup?"

She thought for a second, then said, "Seems reasonable."
