Big Oil

"Law in an energy boom town is quite different than in more established places. Yet with the right economic conditions, the law of the wild west is easily exported because it generates so much cash. Checks and balances are subordinated to sustaining huge cash flow.

"At the receiving end, It comes at a heavy price to the settled but unprepared communities it disrupts. Further, that could explain the entourage and the disregard for customary norms a thousand miles away."

This one more difficult than most posts to decode. Successful invasions seem to have an element of surprise. Lightning war or Blitzkrieg had that element. In the soup or on the net the wake assumes a characteristic angle. Depending on the viscosity of the medium?

To dense? Move on and come back. Those in the thick of the action are tracking to some degree (both figuratively and literally). Surprises abound.
