"The audience is still a manageable size and personal attention is a distinct possibility. Most of the value is generated in a robust dialog in and amongst those who come here at least occasionally."

The team would often would hear from those who were justifiably critical of how much support the public interface offered. Given that some large companies have become successful at making their public interface friendly, people know there is a better way. But friendly is not trivial even though the friendliest make it look that way. Perhaps interactive engagement can close the gap. We'll see. There is plenty of motivation to pursue that ideal.
