Persona, Management, Authenticity

"Yes, I am arguing that secrecy can be, and often is, a part of a well-managed, authentic persona. The most obvious application being appropriate privacy.

"You see the issue is whether or not the content is true to the singular person with which it is associated. The spectrum from true to false in this dimension is wisely independent of the public-private spectrum.

"When an authentic persona transcends death two things can be said. 'So what?' and 'Authenticity is more easily verified.' This insight is particularly useful in understanding what constitutes reality in an artifact borne proxy for personal identity."

Like discussing the mechanism's of humor this conversation was necessarily tedious. They had done things like it enough before to keep it short while preserving its impact.
